Rules

The Conference

  • The conference will consist of ten (10) teams, divided into two five (5)-team divisions: North and South

Rosters

  • A teams roster will consist of (11) players: Five (5) starters and four (4) reserves
  • A team must start two (2) guards, two (2) forwards, and one (1) center in a game. A teams reserves may consist of any mixture of the aforementioned positions.
  • Games run from Monday to Sunday, unless otherwise noted. Rosters must be submitted by start time of the first game of the week. That start time is available online.
  • Trades may be made either player(s) for player(s) or player(s) for draft pick(s). There is no rule about how long an owner must keep a player after acquiring him (due to compressed time frame). There will be no trading for players to be named later. Trading must be confirmed to one or both of the co-commissioners by both parties before they become effective
  • Trading will cease after the last regular season game is finished. Rosters will be frozen during the playoffs
  • Free agents may be acquired at any time, provided the team in question makes room for the free agent on the roster by dropping one or more players

 

Games

  • As mentioned before, games run from Monday to Sunday of each week. The team with the highest score each week will be declared the winner.
  • There will be six (7) regular season games beginning whenever the date that allows us to play 7 games and 3 playoff games
  • There will then be three weeks of playoffs to establish the league champion with 2 teams not making the playoffs. The playoffs will be played in the same format as the ACC Tournament, i.e. #1 will play #8, #2 will play #7, etc. Tournament seeds will be determined by the finish of individual teams in the regular season.
  • Ties in standings will be resolved by 1) head-to-head record, or, in the event that the teams in question have not played one another, by 2) division record

Scoring

  • Points=1 point each
  • Rebounds=1 point each
  • Assists=1 point each
  • Steals=2 point each
  • Blocks=2 point each
  • Turnovers= -1 point each
  • Ties in individual games will be resolved by 1) Most number of points scored, 2) Most number of rebounds, 3) Least number of turnovers.

The Draft

  • Draft format will follow standard snake draft rules
  • Draft order is always picked by lottery.
  • Draft picks for this season may be traded during the draft
  • No dues for this league
  • Any player on your team from last year can be kept for the upcoming year provided they are still eligible in the ACC

Miscellaneous

  • Rules questions will be resolved by conference between the co-commissioners
